Oh boy, I've got a problem. Someone has approached me asking "how much"? This is a serious buyer and I have no idea what to answer. (In the past it has been mentioned several times that Carol wants something with a/c and real roll up windows...maybe an IM in the garage?)

2004 VS
1915, dual carbs
3:88
Front discs
Full carpeting, trunk, and mats
Top and Side Curtains
Full and quarter tonneau
Nardi Wheel with matching shift knob
Luggage rack with several badges
New tires
13K miles
Registered as a 1974 VW

Lovingly cared for, but the RED TUB has been driven and enjoyed. A couple of the pictures should be recognizable and a few folks on the site have seen the car in person.

Any ideas?

Best regards,
Cal

Interestingly (for me, at least), that is one of Mike Lempert's steering wheels in the same basic design as mine, but with the holes in the spokes. There are a couple of pics on his website. I cannot imagine why the owner is selling that spectacular car, but the economy is a good guess.

Cal - Henry had a nice water-cooled car at Carlisle. It was priced in the 60's, but he had a base price list spec sheet for water-cooled cars that started at ~$52k. That's if you want new, of course. Pic attached.

Lane,

That is one of Mike's wheel "frames". Matt did all the wood work and powder coating. He made a jig to sand finger grooves into the back side. I've driven the car and the steering wheel feels great. Umm, so does the gas pedal.

If you guys don't know, the car was featured in a very recent "EXCELLENCE".
