Thinking about selling my car. It's on a 1971 chassis, has about 1250 miles on the build, has a SCAT 2027cc with real 40mm Webers all chrome sheet metal, new alternator, ect. Everything on this engine is new. Strong engine. The engine has about maybe 200 miles on it. The car had a fire in the engine compartment before I got it. Needs a deck lid and gel coat repair in the lower rear and passenger rear side, and repair on the top.  Why am I thinking about selling? I don't have a garage and I have too many cars and a small driveway. What do you fellas think I should ask for it?

This is about all I can tell you. It's very strong but streetable.  I wanted torque and drivability.  It makes good power. Slightly rough idle. 6000 redline is what the guy at SCAT told me. It's not even broken in yet so all I can say is the torque is definitely there! I haven't been past 3800 rpm yet. Over $4000 long block. Full flow oiling. Brand new everything.

135 horse power.

@ROBTRANSGUY-  135 hp is way more than what the 1500 4 cams made in the Carrera Speedsters so I'm sure it's a blast to drive!  And being a 2 liter, not being 'peaky', with great bottom end/lower midrange power and it all in by 6,000 rpm just makes it that more fun.  Sorry to hear you're selling your Speedster, and good luck with the sale.  Al

My mid 14 second Cal Look bug, with 1750 cc's, W125 cam, 40x35 heads, S&S 1½" merged exhaust and 44 IDF's would rev to 6500 with power, yet (when warmed up) idled so smoothly people would mistake it for a stock carbed 1600 and were very surprised when the engine lid was raised and told how fast it was.
