I guess it's time to replace my old Go Pro camera (10 yrs old). The movie clarity of this video is not quite up to snuff but I think it still highlights the fun we had cruising through the mountain roads between Auburn and Lake Tahoe (Northern California).

When the video starts, click the 'Gear' icon in the lower right and adjust video quality to 1080p.

Hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for watching!

Jim, this latest film by you will definitely become a SOC classic.

The scenic views were just breathtaking.  Now all the members have a chance to see for themselves what a great adventure the 2017 Tour D'Hoe turned out to be for those who were actually able to participate.  May thanks to you and your bride for sharing some of the highlights with the rest of us.

Cheers,

Who shot the drone footage? Was everything GoPro? Thinking about getting something other than my S8+ to record stuff.

@Jeff Hicks Jeff, the road footage was shot with a GoPro mounted on my windshield. Some of the boating footage was taken by GoPro. The drone footage was taken by @Ryan (formerly) in NorCal . Ryan had a DJI Spark drone. Here is a link...

Rain, hail and boating clips were filmed by @Troy Sloan on his iPhone. A lot of the stills taken were shared by Ryan, Ricardo, Troy & Sally and myself.

Jim, What a pleasure to sit back and enjoy the cars, the scenery, people and adventure while sitting in a comfortable warm room at my computer.  I recently drove through three states on roads, and for all the other usual reasons, where enjoying the scenery would have been dangerous.  Thanks again for a great production and the fun ride along.
