The car is registerd as a 1955 Porsche, it's a CMC replica and the VIN is 119498198. Anybody know what year it is? Thanks,

Welcome to the site, the 119 ... ...#'s were assigned to 1969 type one's (beetles). However most of the parts on these cars are from any mixture of years. The bently service manual for '70 thru '79 covers the majority of mechanical workings; brakes, suspension, etc. and the site's library has listed other helpful books. Happy motoring.

Check the Knowledge Base, click "Knowledge" on the menu above. Article 101 has all the numbers for VIN and Engine. Victor is right on with the chassis year.
