I'm looking seriouly at a 550 kit, one that I can assemble. What are the pros and cons of Thunder ranch and Vintage Spyders? I am 6'2" tall and 220 lbs. Am I too big to really fit in one of these cars? ThunderRanch says They can make me fit. Haven't heard back from Vintage. What kind of quality can I expect? Is there a better way to go?

Hey, I hope this gets to you all, this thread is a bit old but I have a couple questions right in-line with this thread so here goes...

First, Tom, did you get that Spyder? I live in Western Washington and am currently ready to purchase a kit to put together. I'm considering the Thunder Ranch stage 3 kit. I haven't yet been able to actually get near one though and want to do that before I buy. If you did get one would you be open to my coming out and seeing it?

Second, if that kit that is advertised on here didn't sell yet is it still available? I could save a few bucks if it is and I love that idea!

Third, I can't decide if I'm going to want the extra capacity of the 550A or even the 550A-6. Can anyone tell me why or why not to go with the extras - more power, bigger tires, etc.? How fast/zippy is the regular 550?

I hope to hear from you all soon, this is a great resource and I'm super excited to begin work on a Spyder soon. Would love to have it done and driving by the fall, what a perfect car for this area and I've never had a cool car before. Thanks!

Jude
