Scott--maybe I'll be the one to drive down to Texarkana. It's mostly 50s now and I have a great heater.

On the tunes. Most Speedsters are very noisy inside at highway speeds. The only possible way to hear a radio is to use ear plugs then turn the volume way up. I don't know wht but this works. I put a full Dynamat lining in my car but it's not what you'd call quiet. Much better but no 600 SL.

BUT--I get concert hall sound with my Ipod and noise reduction ear buds. I got the Sony earbuds from ebay and they are spectacular.
Earphones are illegal usually and I suspect ear buds are looked on as the same thing but the buds are invisible so I'm set to enjoy
Allison Krause cruzin down the road.
Get a radio that works for it all. I just installed the Alpine CDE-126BT. It has an Aux port, IPod interface, and Bluetooth that runs throught the speakers. It kicks but. jsut used it today with top down and I think it worked better then with the top up.

Speedsters didn't come with radios so no sense in trying to simulate old that is not functional.

Just my 2 cents.
