I’m looking to buy a JPS Coupe. Am periodically checking all of the usual sites (Hemmings, Bringatrailer, etc.) but not having any luck. Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks so much for any assistance you can provide. And happy motoring!

This dealer in "nearby" Atlanta occasionally has one for sale -

Did you see David Baynes's red speedster with black hardtop advertised here and located in PA. Best of both worlds.
You'll need to more than search occasionally. Set alerts and scan every day.
Beverly Hills in San Diego has them on occasion.....I had one and loved it....had to sell it to make some room in the garage.....great fun...
Thank you! Have found two, but am not crazy about the color in both cases. One local (Rockville, MD) exotic car dealer has proposed wrapping it to change color. What do people think of wrapping versus painting one of these? Good idea, or better to paint? Thanks!
Wrapping is a great alternative to paint. It is oftentimes less expensive, can last for years, and you can change the color very easily.
Wrapping can also be a bit more impervious to stone chips. There's a kid in town who turned his 350Z from black to a beautiful blue and you would swear it has been painted.
Very helpful. Thank you
that green looks idential to my 63 VW i had
I washed my Spyder for only the second time this "summer" yesterday and I was noticing the rock chips on the nose. I was thinking I should touch them up and spray some rockershutz on a line across the front through turn signals on top of the vent.
On second thought, I think I'll get the whole nose and both the rockers wrapped in clear.
While you're at it Dave, since you'll be removing them anyway, get the new light set that look like OE. Carey and Greg both sell them, I love the way they look compared to what used to be available.
Dave, I wrapped my Speedster nose to 1/4 way up the hood - If you zoom in you cn just see the line across. That was back in 2004 or so and while it is beginning to darken very, very slightly I have had zero stone chips since then. The gel coat is black so any chip, no matter how small, would really stand out. I'm happy with the clear film. IIRC it was from BASF.

I've thought about it, but my bottom line is celebrating my car for what it is, an early Beck. In that light, I'll be keeping it original. (I'm using the same excuse for keeping the drum brakes.)
