Jim, I'm right here.
I've decided to go with the bud instead...

I'd like to suggest that before Theron allows a newbie to participate on the forum, the applicant must read Paul's piece on replicas and he/she must also agree, in writing, to refrain from discussing the following topics:

Air-cooled vs. Water-cooled
Flared vs. Classic
Brand A vs. Brand IM
Replica vs. Real
East Coast vs. West Coast
Using the term: "I'm just sayin..."

He/she should be encouraged to post about sex, religion and politics and must agree to add to Devil-Man's photo album.

Terry---does that also apply to:

Oban vs. Glenfiddich?

Beehives vs. other tail lights?

Driving vs. trailering?

solid state vs points?

Dells vs. Webers?

FI vs. carbs?

Speedsters vs. Spyders

Roll up windows vs. soft inserts?

Coupes vs. roadsters?

Discs vs. drums?

Gas heaters vs. heater boxes?

Radio or not?

New vs. "starter" Speedsters?

Bentley vs. Haynes?

Cheetos vs. chips?

Soon we won't have anything at all to talk about!

In the spirit of how these discussions usually wind up, how about the Hatfields vs the McCoys?

Back to the original question - If it's water-cooled vs air-cooled you're interested in, several of the manufacturers will build either way. I know IM and Beck have done water-cooled cars, although most are air-cooled. It's a matter of preference and budget.

WAIT! WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME? WHY AM I BRINGING US BACK TO THE ORIGINAL TOPIC? ISN'T THAT AGAINST THE LAW OF THREAD DRIFT? AND WHY AM I SHOUTING?

Oh well, back to my wine.
Good points, Dave.
However, if a Newfie looks first at least he/she should be able to start a post by saying that they had done their research and would like to add or comment.
This guy has posted once and posed his question where anyone would assume he did no research on this forum
New blood is always welcome, just don't be an idiot.
Jack, Coupes, cabriolets and Speesters have different time periods for changing the air in the tires and can vary also between makes. IM's are delivered with Western Canadian air, which is considered one of the finest airs available. OTOH, SAS cars use Smokey Mountains' air, which is somewhat more 'smokey'. Southern California cars are impacted significantly by 'El Nino' winds during certain times of the year. I may decide to go with nitrogen! ;-)
Thanks guys---I was wondering about this and knew I could count on you to steer me in the right direction! The info available here is really amazing---and I mean that sincerely. Charles and Alan--you are definitely the "answer men"---thanks!

Jeez----who knew? Is the Kerswill pump used for this service or is there a better tool for this job?
