I now carry and use a Sham Wow type faux chamois. The ones that I have came from West Germany. The things are great to absorb water from the carpet areas. I use a fire hose nozzle to clean the top and tonneau cover (rinse process). I leave them fold on the water logged area over night. Squeeze out the next morning the next morning and repeat as necessary.

I now carry a couple in my Go Bag.

Have you ever washed your top and tonneau getting ready to waterproof both? I use 303 water proofing and their cleaner. To make sure that the cleaner is totally rinsed away...I employ the use of a fire hose nozzle! We all know that water enters under the tonneau at the dash and sides. Now, we all know that the "stick-in" windows leak like a sieve!

Becks never leaks from the Fiberglas down to the road!!!

I use the Sham Wow things to absorb the water ...leave on the carpets overnight, wring out, carpet dry!
