No snow here in Beaufort (byeewfut) this Winter. We had the most last Winter since 1969 - all of 2 inches.

Been cold a lot, just like last year. We've seen ice covering puddles when we walk the dogs around 8am but, then again, today was 70F at 2pm.

We keep watching the WX channel and wishing our kids were down here where there's no snow and ice.

Maybe if we lived at Walt Disney World the kids might visit more often?
We had a deluge here about 2 weeks ago. Flash floods brought mud and rock onto many roads. I've limited my driving until I see all the rocks and gravel swept up. Might take a month. But it's still mid-80's during the day and high 60's at night. Can't bitch about that. As the many Canadian visitors say " at least it's a warm rain".
Heading for the mid 60's today in DC area, but windy. A pleasant relief. Snopw disappearing from the yards quickly, but still in evidence in piles all around. My place still has great stretches of white stuff with about 2" of solid ice at the bottom. Anybody else here besides me having the itchy-fidgets wrt getting topless in their Speedy?? I know I sure am. PS: This question is NOT adressed to the knuckleheads in So Cal, or really anybody west of the Rockies. They can just go have their cars and coffee and cruise the shore every week, and I'm going to say that I really don't care . . .
Well, people of Earth, looks like we've finaly turned the corner.

Ornamental trees are in blossum and so are the Southern Camellias, days are in the upper 60's consistently, haven't had the heat (or A/C) on for two weeks and it's been pretty pleasant. Got most of the vegetable garden in with the remainder to follow tomorrow and just harvested the last of our winter broccoli and peas. The only bad news is a pollen count that's off the charts, but massive amounts of Claritin seem to do the trick.

Come on Spring! Whoo-Hoo!!!!
I got 2 azalia's planted early last month. they got lots of rain then.

I bet Lane knows what kind they are. I wish, I had time then to plant 4 more. But not possible..

Our hollies look good. I get to loaf today for a change. We are now in a drought here.. so not going to put anything else in the ground. untill that changes.
