I have a cover from Griot's Garage that is supposedly water proof, but I have not put it to the test yet. It is a good fit though. I inadvertantly parked my Spyder outside with the tonneau and it went through a 30 minute drenching Texas downpour. To my surprise there was very little water in the cockpit, just a few drops that easily wiped up with a small towel. Norv
Thanks for the input. I really need a cover as my car will be parked outside rather permanently. With the car being in Arizona, cover specification should include excellent UV resistance, good fit and waterproof.
If anyone has web site info that would be prefered to fone #'s. I'm 16 hours different from west coast time. I've got about a 1 hour window to call folks.

Tom,

Here's one of those 'car bubbles', they do make an outdoor version. I wonder if they have a filter in order to deal with our haboobs?

Are there any other options? How bout an enclosed car trailer? Or a one car garage from TuffShed.com ?

Tom,

If you really want to keep the car dry (sounds like you don't have a top, right?) you may want to look at the "car bubble" as suggested in the previous post. Otherwise you've got conflicting needs. A fully waterproof cover will keep condensation trapped under it right on the paint. This WILL cause problems. You don't want water to be retained for too long. A fabric cover will let it get wet, but it'll also dry out fairly quickly. If you don't have a top for the car, though that's not a viable alternative. Sorry I can't be more helpfull.

I bought a Wolfe car cover out of Summit. They have several different versons so be sure to get the one that is one way breathable. It was under $200.00. I have been forced to keep my car in a carport for the last several months and am very pleased with this paticular cover. I live in San Diego and with all the rain lately it has been very usefull.
Gents: Here's the full picture. I've got a two car garage and 4 cars. I can park two vehicles on the pad next to the garage, but its a logistical nightmare because its the kids cars out there.Who ever pulls in first gets "stuck".
Mi ruca has hit on the solution that since the Spyder seldom gets driven (#1 son drives it maybe twice a month), it should go out on the pad. Hence the desire to keep the sun and rain off of it.
I've got the neighborhood nazi assoc. to deal with for anything "constructed".
When I lived in a mining town, I used to cover my 911 with a cotton car cover and then put a rubberized tarp over that. I didn't have any problems with condensation with that set up.
I was hoping to find an "all-in-one" cover.
