I'm doing a few fixups on the tail lights and really should be installing new sockets as they seem to have lost their "spring" to maintain solid contact on the bulbs. It's the tail light / brake light combo sockets I need that have the squeeze clips on each side. Can anyone please advise if they are standard off the shelf parts from Napa, etc. or will I have to dig a little deeper in a hurry ? Thanks.

David! Do you have beehives or tear drop tail lights?

If behive I'd order new ones from Stoddards Import parts. They are High quality brass units.

I wish they offerd that bulb holders on the tear drop types. I would make them pretty tough.

I have thought about getting a custom bike shop to convert me a set and rechrome them.
Giday, Barry. Mine are the teardrop type. I finally searched them out. A generic type of bulb holder / socket. Echlin p/n LS6232 crossed to a Carquest p/n 57-4801. I forget the NAPA number. I found an easy way to check the oil level / refill my tranny while prepping for the big trip. I still need to find those little, buggerly clips that keep the heater box levers on a bare stud coming out of the heater box.
I find that the quality of parts from NAPA usually exceeds Autozone and the like. But the prices are just about the same, hmmmmm.........

There are a LOT of NAPA parts on my Spyder....I replaced the bulb holders on my Spyder turn/stoplights with NAPA. The ones that came with the lights were cheap crap, that looked like they would slice my fingers eventually( right Leon??).
