Wide Body

Hi,

After a few street rods I'm potentially looking for a nice wide body speedster replica. I've played with the idea of a speedster for a while, and soon is the time. Ideally, the car would be silver or red, lowered, strong, and with nerf bars. The right timing would be around next (2011) March.

I just signed up for the site and happen to be getting ready to list my wide body Speedster. It is a CMC make. It only has 100km on it, yes only 100. It is all black, however. let me know if you are interested. a few photos are attached.

To be honest, I don't really want to sell it, but as you may imagine, like probably many on this site, I have too many cars and this one has for a variety of reasons only been driven a couple times by me (but my two mechanics who have helped fine tune it for me have driven it and rave about it!) I live in NYC and NJ and the car is on Long Island with a couple of others.
Now for a little background, I really did not know much about these cars when I bought it. As you may have figured out but I had to find out, the car is a CMC wide body. My mechanic heard of it sitting in a garage and told me about it. After some discussion, etc., I purchased it about 4 or 5 years ago from the divorcee whose ex-husband left it in the garage. When I bought it, it had not been touched in about 8 years and had 9 km on the odometer. Yes, just 9. It now has 100km. I am not sure of the size of the motor but I am told it is on the higher end of hp range. It has been really fine tuned by my new mechanic with little details being take care of here and there but it still needs a couple touches (mirrors, side curtains). Bottom line, it is a great car for someone who will use it. I have two ('64 & '65, selling this one now on completion of restoration) Lincoln convertibles, just sold my '91 Carrera, sold two other '60s Lincolns, just bought a '89 MB 560SL, and I drive a '06 Navigator. Just too much.
Anyone interested should let me know as I am not trying to get every dollar out of the car, just want a fair price and someone to enjoy it!

If you can hold off selling until spring, it will generate more interest and a better price but be sure to keep it within reason.
Ebay is your best venue to sell it. ~Alan

I dont post much but kind of just lurk here in the back ground. I have a nice Black Fiber Fab wide body just across the state from you in Yankeetown Florida east end of HWY 40.
Like I said it is Gloss black, burgundt interior, Totq Thrusr wheels, 17 x 10 in rear, 15 x 8 in front, Fulda tires, rag top with side curtains, tonue cover, fiberglass 1/4 cover with the hump like 550 Spyder, bra, 1776 dual carb engine, all chrome tins, very nice car if you are interested. I cant seam to down load photos to the site but could send them direct to your email if you like or you could take a little drive and take a look if you like $15,000
