Hey I just noticed on the spydercars.net website that the "windscreen" (which is more along the lines of the original if I'm not mistaken) is not legal for street use. Is this true? I'd considered it as a possibility (though at 5'11" would actually be more like a bug channel right up my nose or something, most likely)...but just found that interesting.

At least in CA it's not legal, of course many people use them without ever getting cited. If you do get cited, it would only be a fix-it ticket.

I always thought one would be nice, until I took a rock in the windshield of my speedster at forehead height. The rock came up from a trucks tire and majorily fractured the windshield. I would have been in serious trouble if I had the small windscreen.

I think the danger is far worse in a spyder than a speedster, because your even lower to the ground.
