Plus costly shipping and crating - $150-200.  Try a large local glass place - perhaps they can order the correct glass.

This place has the glass for $300 and is somewhere in CAlif.

It is possible to do yourself - directions are in CMC build manual and have been posted here.  Just tighten loosely and evenly side to side.  Don't over tighten the mirror rod either.  Watch for screws that could be too long and touch glass edge.

Contact Carey Hines at Beck Speedsters about quoting a new windshield, delivered.  @chines1

I have replaced/installed several of his windshields on CMC cars with no issues.  He can supply new top and bottom rubber gaskets, too, and I highly recommend replacing them along with the new glass.

Any decent local auto glass place could install it, but take them a copy of the “Installing a new windshield in a Speedster” article, up under the “Resources/knowledge base” tab up at the top of this page, above, so you and they will know what they’re dealing with.  It’s not hard, just a little finicky.  Let me know if you can’t see/find the article.  I can PM you a copy.
