Windshield Center Post - Thread Size - AAAARRRGGG!

What the heck is the thread size of the center post!

I hate things like that.....real show stoppers! Rolling along good last night, got the side posts installed, center post hole in, starting to tighten things up and ....WHAM....nothing fits that thread.

I thinks its a 7mm major diameter X 1mm pitch, is there such an animal?
