@Troy Sloan It’s too bad you don’t want black. Troy Sloan has a nice Suby JPS coupe for sale right now.

X2 what Robert said. Troy's is an "outlaw" style to go with your name. It's a very nice car and a good price too.............Bruce

It’s a great car but not a color I want and a little out of my price range unfortunately. But that thing does look mean. I’m just way too OCD to keep a black car clean haha

Trust me. The Madness will take over and you will obsess about many things related to this hobby including keeping the car clean.

@Robert M everything Robert says is true plus more👍

Thank you guys! Much appreciate the enthusiasm and knowledge of everyone here. Excited to get one and planning on keeping it forever and putting tons of miles on it

Didn't Troy just drop the price?  I have not seen Troy's car in the flesh but if it is all sorted you could easily spend a lot of cash on sorting out  another car unless of course there is someone who really wants out or you can do the work yourself.  Black cars all come with a wash bucket.

Lol love that comment. I currently have two black cars right now and my last 3 cars were also black so I definitely can relate. Was really just hoping to stay away from black cars for this one. With how much driving I’m planning to do I was hoping on some type of silver.

Thanks robert. I did see that and it’s a beauty but still a bit over budget and black. But she is a beauty for sure!

I'm with the OP. Everybody loves the look of a freshly waxed black car, but keeping one clean in a place with insects stops being fun the first time you spend all day cleaning it, then take it out for a 10 minute drive at sunset, and look at eleventy-billion bugs plastered to the front half of the car when you bring it back inside.

I love my car, the madness is strong. Not that strong.

The pines are putting out pollen down here and any car that is other than yellow has a yellow patina to it. Black cars look really odd under a coat of this stuff. Next comes bug season, and the bugs in Florida are legendary!

Suffering in that heat, the flies in August are no fun either especially at night   ....

I received a deposit today, so the Black JPS Suby coupe sale is pending.  The buyer is getting a really nice car for a very good price.

Great to hear! I was very tempted, glad that temptation is gone now. I'm sure the new owner will be extremely happy!

I was thinking of painting my future Spyder black. I think you guys are talking me out of it. Even Greg,  at VMC,  doesn't want to paint it black. He says it's a lot more work than other colors and then you guys say how much work it is to maintain.  I was thinking about the same color red as Rhonda was with dark grey inside. Then I saw a silver one at VMC with dark blue inside. I really don't want a silver one because there are so many out there. Anyone have and examples of other colors and combos ??    .....Bruce
