Understood about removing the venturis to yield a bigger bore. In fact one can bore the body to throttle plate ID to remove more restriction

My current engine is a 2332 with a 120 cam so all over by 6000 RPM. I am limited by the 40 x 35 self ported heads, so a gutted 40 carb body acting as a TB will be fine.

I am in Thailand and the cost doubles by the time I import anything so better heads will need to be hand carried over. When this happens I think that the 40's may be a bit restrictive but only time will tell. OTOH there is no drawback to using 44's now with room to grow into bigger heads

My other thought is to use bike TB's but carbs make the linkage easy.
