Doesn't look worth $6k to me. Looks like a nightmare waiting to happen once someone got into working on it. Needs almost everything and a lot of bodywork.

I guess the days of finding free donor VW bugs and $2-6k FF/CMC kits still in crates are long gone! Along with 34 cent/gal gas. That one looks like its suffered an earthquake. A fellow SOCer here in FL bought one that was in a garage in NOLA after Hurricane Katrina. The entire heavy steel sub-frame turned to ferric oxide.

Thats why I post these , there is a crowd of people that either will never have $20-$30K at one time , or like working on stuff to build up ,
Look at some of the 'restoration" projects on YouTube and you can see that there is an aass for every seat
On the 6K car I would worry more about the internal framework than the fiberglass or VW chassis. ,
and yes I would love to find a nice dusty IM for $5k as would everyone else
