Hi everyone,
Just attended Carlisle with some friends and enjoyed checking out the few Spyders that were there. I was unable to spend any serious time there (was a flyby visit) but was advised to come here and post any questions. I have a basic understanding of the current suppliers, manufacturers but was more interested in the 'generally accepted' mechanicals used 'most often'? Meaning most popular front suspension/brakes, transaxle/engine, rear suspension/brakes. I know these are usually VW, but is there a series # or type #, etc? And I understand that there are different frames/chassis- what would apply/adapt to an original style frame design? Is there anywhere here that I could find pics of progress builds, etc?
I hope I don't sound too dim. I love these cars and most folks seem very helpful and friendly.
Very many thanks in advance-
