im 2007 auto $79K Canadian could be imported... to the USA.... Also I saw this car when IM was building it AFAIK it has a bus tranny.

Because this car already has a motor installed, technically it needs to be 25 years old or older in order to be imported to the US. Otherwise it needs to meet the emissions and FMVSS of a 2007 as it is no longer a "hobbyist" vehicle in the eyes of the DOT and the EPA.

I am not saying someone could not get it into the US and registered, I've seen stranger things happen, BUT technically it does not comply with current laws and is subject to refusal or seizure.
