After some struggles and help from a more skilled friend, we were able to install a lovely banjo steering wheel, with all the wiring correct! Everything works as it should. Had to shorten the steering shaft a bit and figuring out the wiring was just trial and error until we had it correct.

Thanks! We ran a wire through the steering shaft into the frunk via wheel well and eventually to the dash panel. .
