As much as I would like to do a run that includes driving and not sitting under a cover looking at the rain, I'm going to have to pass on this one. I just realized that the 8th is my Rotary Club's annual golf tournament and I need to be at it. I'll have to see your smiling faces on the next one.

I already called the hotel and told them they would need to hire a couple of extra bouncers for the bar/pool room while you're there!

Chrissy's school and rehearsal schedules changed so she will be riding along. Unfortunatly, despite popular demand, I will still be attending.

Weather forecast for Solvang; rain coming in Wednesday, clearing out Thursday, Saturday clear with temps mid 70's. Should be an absolutely AWESOME weather just after a cleansing rain!! Wooooooo Hoooooo!

someone asked about what we plan on doing in Solvang... we usually go to a few wineries and spend most of the day driving the local canyons, so unless someone has a spacific place they would like to go, I suggest we take the back road into Solvang, (I think it's hiway 154) have lunch and then hit a few wineries, perhaps Fess Parker and Firestone for wine tasting, Firestone has a tour for those interested, we could then end the day in Solvang for some shopping....
I made Teri feed the Emu's one year...I don't think she will ever forget....not in a good way...

Weather looks great for this Saturday...
I have printed maps of the area we will be driving around, it shows the winery locations for those without GPS....

Topanga Ranch Motel 9:30, leave that location 10:00, Highway 1 to Los Posas Rd, to the 101 N. thru Santa Barbara to the 154 turn-off,
to Solvang turn-off, then into town for Lunch...
Foxen Canyon for a few wineries, and then back to Solvang to let the right seaters do some shopping...
of course everything is tentative depending on what the group wants to do, but thats the basic stuff....

Looks like Kathy & I will be there at 9:30 for the cruise to Solvang. Driving on the 101 maybe we could take the Old 1 Highway along the Rincon and then back to the 101.....that's always a fun run closer to the ocean.

My dad is flying in. We are going to meet up on pch and ride with everyone. We are going to break off and head up the 101 to my brothers when everyone heads inland at santa Barbara.

See you knuckleheads 09:30 tomorrow morning (Sat 10/08) in Malibu. As for logistics for our caravan, its much easier to have a full tank of gas on board BEFORE you get to the Topanga Inn.

yes at 12 pm but when larry and chrissy left san diego (probably 7:30am) to get to malibu at 9;30 am it was chilly

THAT was a fun weekend cruise! Weather was absolutely f'ing spectacular along the coast and through the mountains. Saturday nite dinner was hilarious! Looking forward to the next cruise. Maybe a Duffy cruise around the Newport Marina?
