I cruised my car into work last night. I work a 48-hour shift, but came in early for an evening class and it was super nice out. After my class, I took the car out behind the building and washed the entire thing -- inside and out -- to get the road grime off of the chassis from the last time I got jammed up and had to ride it in the rain.
(Who cares, Cory? You washed your car. So what?)
Well, I checked the weather before I left the house in my no-roof-havin' jalopy. The chance of rain for Sunday was about 20 percent -- which usually means it'll be raining in the mountains west of here.
Guess what?
"By Sunday, the storm makes a move into the Mid-Atlantic and New England. Overcast skies and rain, heavy at times, will spread from the Lower Great Lakes region and the central Appalachians eastward into the I-95 corridor. Any outdoor planning should be reconsidered and you may want to begin alternate indoor activities.
"There is a potential for areas of rain to stall and fall over the same place for a lengthy period of time. If this does in fact happen, look for flash flood warnings to be issued by the National Weather Service.
"Some severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and hail are also possible along the East Coast ... ."
AUUUUGH!
