Hey Tom, instead of building another car to get back on the show, I can suggest mine the next time you get to drop in on Jay, I can get down from the cold north to California. lol
Tom, what an awesome story... One for the books! great job on the video, and beautiful car. Definatelly makes one consider a Suby conversion!!
congratulations!
Does that mean with a subie you get in the show .... yippee
Tom, thanks so much for sharing all the details with us. That is a well-written account. And, yes, I noticed when you said "four-caliper" brakes, but I'd totally forgotten (my mind changed it to "four-piston calipers") until you brought it up again. Most gaffes are just like that.
You did us all—and yourself—proud.
I'll bet there are a couple other Speedster/Coupe/Spyder owners whose cars might interest Leno. Obviously he is one of us. Just has The Madness on a different scale.
I was just thinking that there are now two list members that have made the Jay Leno Garage tour... Anand with his 356 Original coupe and Tom with his JPS Tribute speedster. Congrats to both of you gentlemen for representing the SOC.
Tom, you did a great job ...... the whole time through the video I was thinking better you than me. You even got a picture of your wife on the big screen! Way to go, what a diplomat! And thanks a lot for sharing the back story ..... loved it! Not meaning to highjack this thread, but what does your license plate mean? I'm guessing "Universal advertising" but I would've thought they could have sprung for a larger billboard
