The guy posted in the description, "Only an idiot would bid on this thing!" It doesn't get much more truthful than that. He's re-listing it because the original purchaser backed out of the deal.

What a value. .. and so far there are 3 Idiots.

Looks like maybe a train hit it on the driver's side. It's like the whole tub is noticeably C-shaped...
I once saw an original speedster on a rotisserie, when all the rusted and damaged parts were cut away there was dam little speedster left, it looked like the rough outline of a car with just the braces holding it together. That car looks like my Jag after it went thru a fire, except I see wiring and rubber on the brake pedal.
Original Porsche fuses?! Those things are only original once.
The steering wheel on that car is actually pretty valuable. The rest, not so much.
Does it come with the cart it is setting on? That doesn't seem to have any rust on it.
Oh yeah.... and the plywood, do you get the plywood too? It is a little warped but still functional as a piece of wood.
I like the texture grip surface on steering wheel. At least transaxle is there but even at $300 it's a stretch!
Greg, there's no bearing caps on the ends of the axles; I wouldn't accept the transaxle being good as a given...
I'm very interested in what looks to be a ventilation system to the right of the fuse box. This may be an available replacement part that would work for our cars - at least for those of use that roll with the top up and or have coupes.
Based on current Porsche pricing, the number of active restorations, and the desire for authenticity someone could buy that and remove, label, and refresh every single nut and bolt, that "cooling device" Rusty mentioned, the fuel filler cap, the trunk hinges, door catches, maybe even the left rear fender region, the dash, etc. and sell off those bits as "Authentic" Porsche parts. But at the current bid of $710 it may have well passed it's profitability point.
