Hello:  I am looking for a source of replica 356 gauges with 4 1/8" / 105mm.  Vintage lists them on their website but do not have them on hand and were not sure when they would.  As I understand it, the gauges are made in China or Brazil.  I also understand that VDO offers replica 356 gauges, however, their gauges are 100mm and won't fit my application.  Any leads would be appreciated.

The Brazil VDO gauges are long gone.  They pop up on eBay and the classifieds here and on SpyderClub from time to time.

The China repos are made by West and resold by several companies.  You can buy them directly from West's retail shop http://vintagespeedsterparts.com/interiorparts.aspx

As you mentioned, ours are 100mm, and as Tom said we do have 5mm filler rubber (OEM Porsche gauge rubbers) so you can retrofit into he 105mm holes.

That said, we are currently backordered on our new gauges.  Next batch is due in about 30 days.

Hi California, thanks for the information.  The 105mm gauges also appear to be available from vintage speedster parts (not affiliated with Vintage Speedsters).  I have ordered the 105mm gauges from them and will let all interested know via the forum what happens.

Hi California: You're right Vintage Speedster Parts (not affiliated with Vintage Speedsters) sells the gauges ONLY as a set.  Fortunately, I wanted the set and not an individual gauge.  I did not know Sierra Madre Collection sold 105mm speedster type gauges.  I understood SMC had gone to the 100mm VDO gauges.  I learn stuff from you guys all the time.

didn´t now that shop

they only sell as a set ,but for that Price its a good buy i gess

FYI. I had two customers cars recently with electrical issues involving the gauge indicator lights including the oil and charging light. I found issues with the bulb holders. The bulb holders do not hold the bulb securely. In the case with the charging light, if the light doesn't the alternator doesn't charge. I had to bend the holder tabs on one and had shim stock to tighten up another.
